Winter Exercise Class with AdventHealth University – Physical Therapy Students
Our community recently welcomed physical therapy students from AdventHealth University for a dynamic and engaging Winter Exercise Class for the next 10 weeks, focused on strength, balance, and mobility. A total of 19 residents participated in the session, demonstrating great enthusiasm and commitment to staying active and healthy.
Participants were thoughtfully divided into three groups based on individual strength and agility levels, ensuring that each resident could safely and comfortably engage in exercises tailored to their abilities. The students guided residents through a variety of movements designed to improve balance, flexibility, coordination, and overall functional fitness.
The class fostered an encouraging and supportive environment, allowing residents to move at their own pace while receiving personalized attention and motivation. This collaborative experience not only promoted physical wellness but also provided meaningful interaction between residents and future healthcare professionals.
We are grateful for our continued partnership with AdventHealth University and look forward to hosting more wellness-focused programs that support active, independent living throughout the winter season.
