Residences designed to make everyday living simple

Tucked away on the outskirts of Apopka, Florida Living is a secluded neighborhood for 62+ independent retirees.  The location offers a variety of amenities such as a heated pool, social events, and walking paths.  We rent residencies to suit your needs - big or small.  Most importantly this is a place where friends become family.

More than just a housing complex.

Florida Living is a wonderful place to explore, relax, and make new friends.  Outside your front door is a quiet oasis within the larger community.  Residents can enjoy discriminate movies, church services, and exercise classes without leaving the beautiful 13 1/2 acre property.  Other convenient benefits include an affordable dining hall and a hair salon. Our beautiful Garden court has been filled with wildflowers and we’ve begun offering a wide variety of classes for residents.

Florida living is always growing and changing!

Pool house

Our heated pool is located inside a private patio for residents only.  It's the perfect spot to take it easy in balmy Florida weather or get in some healthy and safe exercise, cool off after playing a game of shuffle board or walking on one of the many scenic paths.

Seventh Day Adventist Church

As well as the many churches around our property Florida Living holds it's own ceremonies every Saturday just outside your door.  The spacious sanctuary is a marvelous place to socialize, worship, and enjoy uplifting services.

Dining Hall

This is an easy, affordable, and healthy option for residents.    Our fresh vegetarian meals are prepared and served by friendly staff in an elegant dining room.  Special events and holidays are celebrated here.  Look for festive decorations throughout the year while dining with neighbors and friends.

What’s Happening at FLRC?

We stay busy here with field trips to local parks, cooking classes, and seasonal events. Below you’ll see residents attending fun group picnics and an amazing firefly light show. Also featured are our healthy vegetarian cooking classes where you might learn to make a savory meatless meal or a delicious avocado sandwich, of course on avocado day. Don’t forget to sign up for an art class where you can create a classic Florida Sunset!

Living it up in Apopka.

At Florida Living, we believe a true community shouldn't be gated or fenced in – it should seamlessly meld into its surroundings. That's why we chose Florida's beautiful Apopka city for our location.

Volunteer by offering time, talents and a good conversation. As the saying goes, it takes a village to raise a child, just as it takes Florida Living Extended Community to help care for our senior population.

While residents and staff members work together to build a strong network of care and support, we rely on our dedicated volunteers to help maintain the positive and supportive atmosphere we have created!

Volunteers in our retirement community can meet honored missionaries, doctors, teachers, veterans, and survivors of the Great Depression. Also, you can meet a special Grandmothers who know how to bake the perfect apple pie. These people have lived the history we learned about in school. By volunteering you can learn so much.Retirement communities rely on volunteers to interact with their residents. They need volunteers to provide company for residents and assist in hosting activities like card and bingo games. If you have an outgoing personality and enjoy interacting with people a generation or two older than yourself, you might try volunteering in a Retirement Community.
